What Is Working
Solo?
Working Solo, Inc.
(WSI) was founded by Terri
Lonier in 1991 as an outgrowth of her experience
as an independent professional since 1978. Its focus is three-fold:
1) To help individuals create personal and
professional success through the mastery of self-employment
and related business practices.
2) To advise corporations in understanding
how their organizations can best communicate with and serve
SOHO (small office/home office) business owners.
3) To serve as an advocate for microbusinesses,
and to foster the creative entrepreneurial spirit in both individuals
and larger organizations.
Working Solo, Inc. Services
WSI serves two markets: solo business owners, and the larger
companies that create products and services for them.
For solo business owners
Terri directly guides individuals who want to start or grow
their own solo business through her in-person presentations
and seminars as well as her books, audio programs, and the
monthly Working Solo email newsletter.
For companies targeting the SOHO
market
Working Solo, Inc. also serves as a strategic
advisor to companies creating programs, products, and services
for the SOHO market. We act as the connecting point, bringing
together millions of SOHO workers and the companies that want
to reach them.
Organizations turn to us to help them:
* Clarify their strategy and objectives for
reaching this market.
* Deliver accurate feedback and research from
thousands of front-line users of small business products and
services, via Working Solo Inc. Online Surveys.
* Design effective deployment tactics to maximize
their reach.
* Make sure their message points are
on target with the values, needs, and language of this
audience.
* Link them with strategic partners so they
can leverage their R&D, design, marketing, or program dollars.
* Present their products or services at SOHO events
or industry trade shows within the context of a high-content
small business seminar.
* Create high-quality entrepreneurial content
for Web sites targeted to SOHO workers.
* Build credibility in a marketplace flooded
with conflicting messages.
